  9. Follow your company culture. Do your training the way your boss does.

  10. Take opportunities to learn. Online education is an asset to your career.

Netiquette is the social code of the internet. Therefore, WBT Netiquette is the social code of WBT because it uses the internet and netiquette is the social code of the internet.

If your doing research for an English paper or participating in an online class it's all online learning. Many people use the internet for online learning purposes and some classes require it. Online learning is good netiquette.

Web Based Training is an internet based learning environment that provides professional and technical training for your current occupation or job. In general it is training that you get at work for work. It is a form of CBT that is internet based. Everything applies to CBT as well.

Many large corporations allow employees to participate in electronic learning (e-learning) environments on a voluntary basis. They provide CBT's on company intranets and access to WBT's by outside companies. It can be synchronous or asynchronous. Synchronous WBT's are instructor led while asynchronous WBT's are self-paced.

WBT's present large amounts of information in small chunks in a sequential order. Drills and quizzes are integrated into the presentation to reinforce the information. Other WBT's teaching techniques include tutorials, games, and simulations.

Most people get irritated when they are forced to take Computer Based Training (CBT) or Web Based Training (WBT) courses for their jobs because they don't like being digitally disconnected. It's natural if you are used to working together with people because there is no personal interaction. However, CBT's teach and reinforce valuable work skills in a cost effective manner. Therefore, they are here to stay.
