There is no good reason that a student should share a telephone number with any entity on the internet. Many websites ask for telephone numbers from visitors for marketing or other promotional reasons. Students receive money from their parents. Telephone communication is regulated by parents for children in school.

There is no good reason a student should share a telephone number on the internet because it’s usually done for marketing purposes and their financial and communication decisions are regulated by their parents. Simply put, sharing a telephone number by a student online is out of line.


Keep telephone numbers private because education does not require telephone contact.
