It is proper Netiquette to keep your address off the Internet. Don't tell people where you live.


Explanation

It is a security risk for the student, school, family, and friends of anyone who reveals location information online because there have been cases of violence based on internet communication. Student should not tell anyone where they are or where they live through the internet because they do not have the authority to share that information for many different reasons.


Internet Etiquette

School age kids do not have the authority to share their physical whereabouts online because they are not responsible for their safety, adults are.


Netiquette

Keep address information private because there is no good reason to share it.
