- Text is simple not smart. Use small words to send a message.
- Don't do business if it's not business hours.
- Do not ignore people for it to use your smartphone. Live in reality.
- Check your smartphone for a good reason, not just to check it.
- Don't send sensitive information via smartphone because it's not secure.
- Multi-tasking can cause confusion. Do one task at a time.
- No lap reading. If you cannot let everyone see what you doing don't do it.
- Excuse yourself before you use your smartphone.
- Vibrate is not silent and can cause distractions. Turn it off in meetings.
- Use earphones for media as a courtesy to those around you.

Smatphone Netiquette is the social code of using smartphones. Smartphones are mobile devices with more features and benefits than standard cell phones including internet and email. Netiquette is the social code of the internet. Therefore, Smartphone Netiquette is the social code of using mobile devices with more features and benefits than a standard cell phone because they connect to the internet and netiquette is the social code of the internet.

Smatphone Netiquette is how we use how and where we use them. Their portable makes them accessable almost anywhere. This does not mean that you can or should them anywhere. The most important rule of wireless netiquette is do not talk and drive. This rules includes smartphones.

A smartphone is a cell phone that can organize your life. It can help you do just about anything. There is an App for that. Get directions anywhere you are going any way you want to go. The first smartphone was made by IBM in 1992 and was called Simon. It was not a commercial success. Rim made the smartphone popular with its Blackberry in 2002. The iPhone 3Gs brought them to the mainstream in 2008.
A smartphone is a category of mobile device. It is a handheld device that is a cell phone and Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) combined. Smartphones have built in applications (apps) that organize your life. There is a calendar, email, and synchronization apps built into every smartphone. Additionally, there are free and fee based apps available for download from the service provider, manufacturer, and third party developers.
The differences between a smartphone and a cell phone are the features and capabilities. It's the app story. The basic features of smartphone are a media player, camera, GPS, broadband and Wi-Fi. It can connect to a personal computer via Bluetooth or USB cable to synchronize email, contacts, and a calendar at a minimum.
Another basic feature is a QWERTY keyboard that is built in or virtual. A virtual keyboard is a soft keyboard on touchscreen phones. Typically the screens are larger than traditional cell phones to accommodate the multimedia capabilities. The features allow you to organize your life, but smartphones are capable of a lot more. There are applications that can assist any professional with anything.
The operating system is what sets a smartphone apart from a cell phone. The iPhone OS, Google Android, Symbian OS, and Rim Blackberry are the most technically advanced.
Everyone could use a little netiquette!

Chun Hei is the social concious of the Korean Cyber Sphere. In her heart she knows there is one Korea and desparetly wants to feed her cousins. For now she practices good netiquette and promotes a positive environment.
Halle Hotspot:
Halle Hotspot is the hottest girl on the internet. Everyone loves Halle because Halle loves everyone. Halle loves the kids and is not afraid to show it.
Amy Android:
Amy Android has a great operating system. Her programing is something to be admired. She has a robust platform with some really big apps. She does a lot of voice over work to show her phone features.
Arthur iPhone:
Arthur iPhone is way too cool. He manipulates everyone into thinking he is the best mobile phone ever. He does have the best apps because he works so hard on them and follows his own guidelines for what type of apps he accepts.
Cindy Smartphone:
Cindy Smartphone is one of the brightest women in the Netiquette organization. She has a good head on her shoulders and is carving out a niche for herself in Netiquette.
Nancy Netiquette:
Ms. Netiquette is the star of my netiquette animations. She has the netiquette name. Her character plays many different roles in many different forms because netiquette plays many different roles in the many different forms of internet communication.
Tammy Tablet:
Tammy Tablet is a Diva. She is all about looking good and does not care who knows it.
Labeeb Laptop:
Labeeb Laptop is a really cool guy who means business. He has been working on and around computers his whole life.
Martin Mobile:
Martin Mobile is a geek who loves to help people. He is the go to guy when you need something done that is technical.
William Wireless:
William Wireless is a good guy. Mr. Wireless is always trying to help people by making them aware of mobile phone netiquette and other internet safety tips.
