Providing a telephone number in an email signature gives the recipient a chance to speak with the sender. This gives a message more credibility because the recipient can speak to the author directly if they don’t understand it. Therefore, it is good netiquette to include a phone number in personal and professional email signatures so the recipient knows they can speak with the author if they need to.
