It is good Netiquette to refrain from downloading copyrighted content without paying. Don't use torrents to get copyrighted content.
File sharing on the Internet is easy. It is designed to share files. Video is contained in files. Clicking links, using file sharing services, and watching video online may allow viewers to download copyrighted material.
Digital Rights Management (DRM) software prevents downloading copyrighted material without appropriate rights. It contains licensing and version information for a given work of Intellectual Property (IP).
Do not share without permission because it is not nice to take something without permission. Many content creators do not share for a variety of reasons. Let the content creator decide how their work is viewed. Downloading material from websites without copyright protection usually means the site has a lot of malware as well.
Pay for downloads because downloading is an uncessary risk since most of the content can be streamed for free.
