It is proper Netiquette to show subjects the pictures on the camera. Do show people their pictures.
Allow your subjects to control their online image. Show them their photographs before you upload them to a picture network. Let them see the pictures in the viewer.
This allows you to show them at their best and them to be at their best in a picture. Photographers have an interest in showing subjects at their best because the subjects can re-share the picture for a wider audience.
Everyone wants a good online image. Uploading pictures of other people may affect their online image. A good picture helps an online image. A bad picture does not. Most of the time a friend may not feel the same way about a photograph as the subject.
Good pictures make a photographer more popular. Subjects who like their pictures help promote them. It’s a ‘win win’ situation to show a subject their picture after it’s taken to find out if they want to take a better one.
Show us the picture in the viewer for agreement on posting because it is our image.
