Schools use slightly different formats. The basic structures of courses are the same. There are homework assignments, quizzes, and tests. Tests are usually the only graded assignments. They are timed. Books are suggested reading material, not required.
Online resources are supplied by the school. Additional internet resources, links, provide more information. Traditionally graded tests are extensions or preparation for assignments. Assignments provide references similar to textbooks.
Study homework because assignments replace textbooks.
