Wireless

Wireless is Wi-Fi. Technically, Wi-Fi is a network that uses high frequency signals to communicate. Computers use Wi-Fi to connect to the internet. It's a standard for connecting electronic devices.

Hotspots are where netiquette happens. Four people at a cafe table sitting on stools keying away at their laptops, netbooks, tablets, and smartphones on WiFi connection. They are sharing small talk. Keeping their drinks away from each other and minding their own business. That's a real hotspot. Hotspots are everywhere these days, look for the WiFi logo.

Hotspot

A hotspot is an access point for a wireless internet connection. Wi-Fi is a popular term for wireless local area networks (WLAN), which means it's cool. What's cool is good netiquette because it's cultural. Therefore, Wi-Fi is good netiquette because everyone is using it to connect to the internet.

Wi-Fi is insecure, but it's cool. Do not say or write anything that you would not yell across the pews at church. Law enforcement and Google are known to extract information from wireless enabled devices and steal information out of the air. The Police extract information from cell phones and other devices. Google has acquired passwords from Wi-Fi internet users while mapping areas. Microsoft has been found copying your documents. It is a fact that wireless information is not secure.

Droid does power the most wireless internet devices. Android is the most popular operating system for handheld devices. It's an operating system that uses location based applications for a variety of services and features. Ice Cream Sandwich is the latest edition.

Everyone could use a little netiquette!
