It is good Netiquette to watch your tone. Don't feed the trolls.
College students are opinionated. Online discussion forums are known to contain strong opinions. Opinions that may not be shared in other forums are acceptable in college.
Statements that include the words “all”, “always”, and “never” are known to lead to flames. They can be considered flame bait because they are completely exclusive. There is no room for an exception. There is always an exception. There is always another participant who will remind the class of the exception.
Be mindful of tone because insensitivity may start a flame war.
