Blog Netiquette

Blog Netiquette is defined by the way we write, respond, and post. A blog is an internet diary of an authors opinions about topical issues or subjects.

A blogger is a person with an opinion who is not scarred to share. It takes courage and mental toughness to be a blogger. Your opinions will be under attack by trolls and good arguments against you alike.

The common conventions bloggers practice when posting and commenting are netiquette rules. How we express our opinions in a civilized fashion.

How we write is up to the us. The laws of a country and municipality govern what can be written in some cases. It must be followed as a matter of etiquette.

There are many styles. Consistency is a common convention. The Creative Commons license is another standard. Many services copyright material instead of giving license.

Building an audience, gaining followers, and getting comments is not by luck. It happens by netiquette. Good content comes first. Social media marketing is next.

Content is king. Users vote with their views. Quality content spreads with a little Social Media Marketing (SMM).

The word blog is a portmanteau. It was created by the contraction of web and log to make blog.
